Selected from a pool of innovation projects funded by National Highways, IPG will be in Birmingham next week to showcase our innovative power generation technology on the Innovate UK Innovation Stand at Highways UK
On 3rd - 4th November at the NEC in Birmingham, Highways UK Exhibition will bring world-leading solution providers together with their customers and prospects to create new partnerships, demonstrate new capabilities and unveil exciting new technologies. With over 200 exhibitors with an emphasis on innovation and disruptive technology, Highways UK provides insight and leadership, as the whole world and the transport sector faces up to the challenges of a zero-carbon future.
“We are delighted to be joining the Innovate UK Innovation Stand at Highways UK next week, to showcase the project we are executing with National Highways to address some of the infrastructure and investment challenges of decarbonising our transport network,” said Toby Gill, CEO of IPG.
IPG are working with National Highways on a £1 million project, administered through Innovate UK, to develop, deploy and test the IPG Flameless Generator technology as clean, efficient, off-grid power solution for rapid EV charging where high-capacity grid connections and on-site wind and solar are not viable.
“In essence, our technology innovation is a replacement for the diesel generator fit for our Net Zero future,” said John Grainger, CTO of IPG. Our innovation in fuel-flexible flameless combustion represents a significant technological breakthrough in disrupting our reliance on diesel generators. From the provision of temporary power in construction to off-grid power supply for EV charging, the pollutant-free, fuel-flexible, high-efficiency power generation of the IPG Flameless Generator offers a vital solution for decarbonising onsite power in the face of an uncertain renewable fuel landscape.”
“We look forward to meeting with leading companies in the UK highways ecosystem, interested in learning about how we can help them replace their diesel generators and our 2022 commercial trial programme,” said Gill.
