Leading from within: Lauren Franklin appointed Chief Commercial Officer

We’re delighted to share that Lauren has now stepped into the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Her leadership is pivotal as we enter a critical phase—commercialising our breakthrough diesel generator alternative that delivers clean, scalable, and fuel-flexible power to industries worldwide.

There’s a unique kind of leadership that forms in the thick of a start-up: part translator, part strategist, part fixer-of-whatever-needs-fixing. For the past five years, that’s how Lauren Franklin has helped shape IPG Energy.

Lauren joined the business five years ago, taking on her first role in climate tech. Since then, she’s been at the centre of how we show up to the world, helping to build the commercial identity that underpins our product, partnerships and presence today. Her work has helped shift how the industry thinks about fuel-agnostic power, positioning it as a low-risk, accelerated strategy for decarbonisation and a credible successor to diesel.

This move reflects where Lauren’s focus has already been for some time, building the ecosystem around our technology and ensuring it can be adopted, financed, and trusted in the field.

Just this month, Lauren was also shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year - SME at the Women in Green Business Awards, recognising her leadership and influence in the clean energy sector. It’s a timely recognition - and one we’re proud to celebrate.

Lauren steps into the CCO role at a pivotal time. With customer deployment on the horizon and commercial delivery underway, her focus will be on translating early demand for fuel-flexible power into long-term growth, while continuing to build the relationships, trust and structures that support real-world impact.

IPG Energy’s mission is to replace diesel generators with something cleaner, scalable and more flexible. Our clean, fuel-flexible power systems enable industries to switch to renewable fuels and decarbonise off-grid operations without sacrificing reliability. Lauren has already helped us build the commercial foundation to make that possible, and now she leads that work into delivery.
